Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How does leasing work?

A:  Leasing your vehicle is best described as a long-term rental agreement. You pay an agreed upon monthly payment for a set period of time, typically between 24 and 48 months. As part of your lease agreement, you are required to keep up on scheduled maintenance and there are mileage restrictions which generally fall between 10,000 and 15,000 miles per year with a penalty for going over. At the end of your agreement you have the option to purchase your leased vehicle or simply return it to your selling dealership and buy or lease a different vehicle.

Q:  Do you buy vehicles from individuals?

A: Yes, we buy vehicles from people who need to sell a vehicle.   You do not need to buy a vehicle to sell us your vehicle.  There are lots of different reasons:

·         Don't use it - its an extra vehicle, gave up driving, don't need another payment

·         Divorce - some people need to split assets - just be sure to bring the proper paperwork and everyone on the current title will need to sign the paperwork

·         Death - when there is a death in the family, you may need to get cash for a vehicle that is no longer needed/wanted.  Again, just be sure to have the proper paperwork (death certificate, person named as informant etc)

Q: What is the total "out-the-door" price?

A:  Customers ask us this all the time.  "Out the door" refers to the price of the vehicle minus any discounts/rebates plus all mandatory taxes (PA is 6%, 7% in Pittsburgh and 8% in Philly based on the registration address), registration/tags, dealer documentation fees (ours is $425 and already included in the website price) and then any optional add-ons you choose (accessories, warranties etc).  That total can then be broken down into a lease payment or a finance payment or cash total.

Q: Can I get a copy of the Vehicle History Report? (Used Cars)

A:  Yes!  And you should - always - whether you buy from us or from someone else.  For used vehicle, buyers want to verify previous ownership, maintenance history, accident reports, and title status via services like CARFAX or AutoCheck.  We use CarFax and you can find them on our website.  But you should know nothing is perfect. Sometimes the information hasn't come through yet or won't show if a previous owner didn't turn into insurance.  But it still is one of the best tools out there.

Q: What documents are required to complete the purchase?

o    Valid Driver's License - if you have a camera card bring that as well.  The name and address have to be current and correct.

o    Proof of Auto Insurance (updated for the new vehicle) with valid dates.  You can also call your insurance agent to have them fax or email to us.

o    Pre-Approval Letter or Financing Information if you are financing outside of us

o    Down Payment Funds - Cashier's Check is preferred but we will also take cash.  If it is over $10,000 cash, you must fill out a federal form.

o    Title & Registration for Trade-in (if applicable)
